Experience and Background

30 Years of Manual Therapy Experience

Jorge Fernandez, LMT is a National Board Certified Massage and Manual Therapist licensed to practice in New York and Maryland

For 30 years, Jorge has worked with clients who include Olympic Champions, professional dancers, young children, and persons of all variety of backgrounds. While his clientele are diverse, Jorge approaches his profession with the singular objective of helping people to achieve their goals—whether to overcome a particular injury or condition, to treat chronic pain, or to improve performance.

Jorge’s approach to manual therapy is informed by his rigorous study of the human body and osteopathy, an education that he has continued through his decades of practice. He takes pride in a deep knowledge of the musculoskeletal system and other components of the human anatomy, and Jorge applies this knowledge in his treatments. Jorge’s success in achieving positive outcomes for his clients, however, is attributed not only to his academic rigor, but to his natural gifts as a manual therapist and his abilities to manifest his deep knowledge through physical treatment techniques.

Over the past decade, Jorge’s practice has particularly refined his craft as he has joined the ranks of the world’s leading manual therapists for professional athletes. Jorge has treated several competitors from a half dozen Olympic teams, including Team USA, competing in figure skating, snowboarding, bobsledding, biathlon, and skeleton. In recent Olympic games, athletes have traveled across the globe to seek Jorge’s treatments leading up to and during the Games, and with great success—Jorge’s clients have brought home more than a dozen medals.

Even as his practice has achieved a higher profile, Jorge continues to enjoy working with clients of all backgrounds, motivated by a pure passion to help people.
